FPA Leaders Visit NY Media
FPA President Nicholas A. Nicolette,
CFP®, and Executive Director/CEO Marvin W. Tuttle Jr., CAE,
visited key media in New York recently. Media visited include
MONEY magazine, the New York Post, Investment
Advisor magazine, Dow Jones Newswires, InvestmentNews,
Associated Press, Financial Planning magazine, The
Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek Television and USA
TODAY.
Nicolette and Tuttle spoke on
FPA's position on proposed changes to CFP Board's Code of
Ethics and Professional Responsibility and FPA's proposed
standard of care for financial planning clients. In addition,
they addressed issues surrounding retirement planning and the
rising costs of healthcare.

FPA's victory in its lawsuit against
the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was featured on
PBS Nightly Business Report, in the Associated Press, The
Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, The Washington
Post, The New York Times, Bloomberg, the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Chicago Sun-Times,
the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Houston Chronicle
and many other local newspapers and trade magazines around the
country.
FPA Board member Susan Bradley, CFP®, also referred viewers to
PlannerSearch on iVillage Live, which airs on daytime television
in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco,
Dallas-Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Miami, San Diego, Hartford,
Oklahoma City and Seattle. In addition, former FPA president
Elissa Buie was featured on NBC Nightly News, discussing couples
and money.
